Armadillo Gardens is a family-run market garden and native plant nursery located in the heart of the city in San Antonio. We seek to help provide a solution to the twin problems of human disconnection from the natural world and the places their food is grown.
Armadillo Gardens is the vision of us, Valerie Jeannin and Alec Ferguson, a husband and wife team! We are on a mission reestablish the connection between our city and the natural world. We think our region is home to some of the most beautiful plants and most delicious fruits and vegetables in the world, and it’s time we start acting like it! As lifelong appreciators of San Antonio, we are always interested in how plants and food express a sense of place in our community.
